Out of all the different subjects that could have been a focus for Jesus, one could make a claim that Jesus’ favorite topic was the Kingdom of God. In Matthew 6, Jesus tells his disciples, “to seek first the kingdom…”. For this to be so central to Jesus’ life and teaching, it must be foundational for our work as a church.
