Christmas Compassion Grant

As we enter into the Christmas season, we are reminded of Jesus’ generous compassion present among us. The Vine has a commitment to further that work into this world, and this has been accomplished through your generous financial support to The Vine. We have a goal of using 10% of our funds for compassion opportunities in our community, city, and beyond. Instead of making those decisions on our own, we want to engage you and your network of people.

So here’s the ask:
Who are the people or organizations who have a need this Christmas season? It could be a neighbor who needs some financial support, a co-worker going through a challenging season, an organization doing great work, or a non-profit that is in need. Perhaps the need is your own.

We distributed grants in this way last year and were blessed to be able to help meet financial needs for:

  • a recent layoff and financial stress

  • counseling for someone in need

  • helping purchase airline tickets to see family members for someone who would not be able to otherwise

  • paying rent for a family with children while the mother was hospitalized

  • supporting local and global organizations doing social services and compassionate care

The Compassion Team will be taking submissions through the form below for these grants from November 24 to December 8. We will then select from the submissions whom to support on behalf of our community and because of our commitment to Jesus being good news to the world.

    Guidelines:

  • Submissions will be accepted from November 24 to December 8.

  • Use the form below to submit your grant request

  • Nominations can also be local or global organizations/ministries

  • Organizations nominated can be faith-based but are not required to be

  • No more than two nominations per person

  • The gift should be used by Feb 1, 2025, and we would love to hear how the money was spent.
